A BIT OF BACKGROUND

Terri Huddleston, committee member and founder of The Tuscaloosa All-Inclusive Playground, had the idea to create TAPP in 2014 after her daughter, Hannah, passed away at 8 weeks old due to complications with her Down Syndrome. Huddleston wanted to ensure that Hannah had the best life, and in doing so, this meant giving kids with all abilities the access and privilege of being together. That's when Huddleston and her husband, Grant, knew they wanted wanted to honor Hannah’s memory and build a playground where disabled and able-bodied children could play side-by-side.
